The Brief

As alternative solutions for plastic waste prevention and reduction emerge, it’s crucial to understand their broader impacts, including land use, ecological effects, and biodiversity. The goal is to encourage innovators to address not only plastic prevention but also other environmental challenges. CL2B has conducted two comparative life cycle assessments (LCAs) on grass straws versus plastic straws, and bioplastic packaging versus plastic packaging (LDPE).
