CL2B's annual Vietnam Circular Economy in Action (VCEA) conference showcases circular economy implementation, opportunities, and innovation, bringing together key public and private sector stakeholders.

The 3rd edition of the VCEA conference, “VCEA 2024: Driving Continuous Action” was held October 2, 2024, opening day of the Waste & Recycling Expo 2024, at the Saigon Exhibition Convention Center. VCEA 2024’s theme emphasized driving continuous action to adopt and advance circular economy (CE) practices in Vietnam, and reshaping business practices for a regenerative and sustainable economic model.


Eighteen industry leaders, entrepreneurs, government officials, and sustainability advocates from diverse sectors shared the actions they are undertaking to transition Vietnam to a circular economy.

The conference attracted 157 manager and director level attendees from a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, government, apparel & footwear, plastics, and recycling. It was also featured in 20 media articles including VTV, VNExpress & Vietnam Investment Review



SCRAP SPECIES - VCEA REGENERATION ART EXHIBITION


Every year, VCEA 100% of event profit to support the circular economy transition and sustainability initiatives in Vietnam. In 2024, VCEA supported Nguyễn Quốc Dân, a local artist with a reputation for creative art pieces through the use of scrap and discarded materials 




Scrap Species – Regeneration Art Exhibition was free to attend by the public for two weeks from October 5-20,2024 at De La Sol exhibition space in Ho Chi Minh city. During the time period, the exhibition totaled 6551 onsite visitors, helping raise awareness about waste in Vietnam and emphasizing individual responsibility for waste segregation through creative expression.


The exhibition was featured seven times in publications such as VNExpress and Bao Van Hoa, as well as in social media posts (Instagram example and Tiktok example examples) from invited KOL influencers. Additional information can be found in the following: LinkedIn Post and Photo Album. 



CIRCULAR MOMENTUM PODCAST


As part of VCEA 2024 and to enhance the circular economy transition in Vietnam, CL2B launched the Circular Momentum Podcast.“ Podcast partners included: Xolve Branding, Preeco Studio, RxTradex Vietnam, and Amanaki Hotels.



This podcast interviewed leading business front runners in circular economy adoption and showcased real-word examples of circular economy practices and innovation in diverse sectors, focusing on the leaders’ experiences, motivations, challenges, core values and results.
